And this earth aches more today.

And this land shakes more today.

And this eruption of chaos
/of undulating pain/
screeches a little more loudly today.

And this,
each day.

Each day:

Tremors.
Shaking.
The fallen ice of children’s tears.

And I
want to caress the
bruised cheek of our planet.

And we
are asked to
hold a light aflame
with love
(some reminder of hope)
/a curve of recognition/
of our humanity.
Oneness.

One Heart
lit in divinity.

All voices
shattering the dense smog of
racism, subjugation, hatred.

And we
grasp roses in our
palms.

And we
lay them on this
barren ground
awaiting a new seed,
a new birth.
