You come across the wind,

stolen in time
erased against the rhythm of the world.

You defy elements:
       fire is your home
       water is your refuge
       earth is your cave.

I don’t know which way you came
        here, across my skin
        here, within my starry heart.

But there are notes in the air
       songs in the heat
       lyrics in the waves
       symphonies in the rocks.

You hold it all.

So, now,
come.

        Come again to my meadow
my glen of valleys, moss, and snow
Come.
        Come again to my desert
my flame of light, piercing crags
Come.
        Come again to my home
my kiss with you, long with love
