I breathe in the soft petals of your love
an unfolding of grace
a revelation of sound
escaping crevices,
—cavern-like—
until the echo of light brings you to me.

Remember:
Dark soil gives rise to the sacred rose
touched by the fingers of god and sun and all bright things
…like tender waves of ecstasy when you
take me to the moon.

The moon:
Keep me there
but tethered to you
so I can be sky and ground
earth and star
our balance of air and bone.

Spin me to your oblivion
—your center—
and I’ll give you the elixir of life.
